The new software update is coming with the software version V1.11B based on Android 9.0 Pie. It brings the December 2019 patch to the device which will improve the system security and stability. To be very specific, this patch fixes a security vulnerability in the Framework component that could enable a remote attacker via a crafted file to cause a permanent denial of service. There are no other improvements or fixes available in this update. It’s recommended to check the software update (OTA) on your device as the update is rolling out in batches and will take some time. Head over to the device Settings – System – Advanced – System update. You can also sideload the firmware update file by downloading it. Note: The Nokia 2.3 isn’t available to some of the regions yet and the Nokia 2.3 December 2019 Security Patch is the very first update.
