The company has committed to spending a total of $10 billion in India over the next few years, which makes up its largest user market. It would appear that Google is also interested in the most lucrative market for smartphones. Over the course of the previous few years, manufacture of the Google Pixel has shuttled between China and Vietnam. However, it looks that the company is looking at moving production to a new location.

Google is planning to follow in Apple’s footsteps by creating a similar product. In the future this year, Apple will likely begin manufacturing its iPhone 14 series in India, where it has been assembling iPhones for the past five years. Google has not released a flagship smartphone in three years, opting instead to offer the market with its A-series of mid-range smartphones. It appears that Google is now aggressively competing in the Indian smartphone market, since more and more Pixel products are set to be released in the near future. Via
