OnePlus 5T is a developer-friendly smartphone which means if you root the smartphone to install custom ROM, the smartphone will not become void of its warranty period. OnePlus 5 and OnePlus3/3T have recently received Android Oreo-based OxygenOS but OnePlus 5T is yet to receive it. Hence, there are many who have installed custom ROMs that are based on Android Oreo 8.1. But they might be finding it difficult to go back to the stock OxygenOSfrom Android 8.1 Oreo-based ROM because clean flashing the stock ROM from TWRP recovery does not work. The followings are the steps to revert OnePlus 5T to stock OxygenOS from Android 8.1 Oreo.

Steps to Revert OnePlus 5T to Stock OxygenOS from Android 8.1 Oreo
Step 1. Connect your OnePlus 5T to your computer via USB cable. Step 2. Go to the folder where ADB and Fastboot is installed. Press Shift and Right-click and select open command window from the menu. Step 3. Download OxygenOS Open Beta Stock Recovery from the download section and place it in the ADB folder. Step 4. Type the following in the command window. This will flash stock recovery on your device. Step 5. Switch off your phone and boot into recovery by pressure Power + Volume Down button simultaneously. Step 6. In the recovery menu, go to Wipe Data and Cache option and select Reset System Settings option. Step 7. Download BluSpark TWRP file and place it in ADB folder. Then type of the following – This will boot OnePlus 5T into TWRP recovery. Step 8. Download OxygenOS Open Beta Stock ROM and move the file to the internal storage of the device. Step 9. Go to TWRP menu and select Install option and then browse and select the stock ROM file you just transferred. This will flash your device with the stock ROM and you have to disconnect and reboot your device normally to get back stock OxygenOS on your OnePlus 5T. source: xda
